The four-pane series is believed to have originated on Bungie’s Flood forums in a discussion thread titled “When your teacher tells you” circa early November 2010. Prior to the popularity of 4-pane iterations, “Challenge Accepted” became a popular trope in TV sitcom series How I Met Your Mother. In the series, the ladies man Barney Stinson (played by Neil Patrick Harrison) often takes up seemingly impossible challenges that others bring up as a joke. The earliest instance of Barney uttering “challenge accepted” can be heard in the Season 4 of the series.
Loading images at title screen gone. Some frame rate issues are prevalent in the opening part of the game. (Note that the game has also been ported to the 360 as part of "The Orange Box"). Game saves suddenly become corrupted after 2 months of not playing the game (regular playing is required until completion).
Korean version (NTSC/J) is not backward compatible. Some textures go white and the demos option in the main menu is gone. Generally slow and stuttering framerate with significant slowdown in co-op. Some clipping problems with the Assault rifle.

Dolby Digital sound cuts out when playing across system link.
When VGA cables are used with 4:3 monitors, the image is compressed onto the narrow monitor as if running on a 16:9 widescreen television. The problem can be avoided by running the game at a resolution of 640x480.
DLC will corrupt and have to be re downloaded if the 360's hard drive is used with another 360.
